Why does this sound off beat?

Just started this project tonight.

https://app.auxy.co/projects/UrhgP_aa7CwlD6SwefYT7w==

The part at the start is when it’s most noticeable.

Is it me or does the kick and synth not quite sync up? I’ve changed the synth and kick.

Am I just hearing things? lol

Thanks!

Try setting the ducker to “trigger by samples”

yeah you could set the ducker to “Triggered by Samples” and/or set the glide to around 40ms so it doesn’t feel flat. I’ve checked and anything below 40 will still make it sound flat because of the ducker.

Thanks.

But I want to keep constant choppy gate sound that you get by setting duck to tempo. Idk how to get that if I set to trigger my samples.

Half beat?

Set something to trigger ducker, then lower the volume to nothing

(it still kinda sounded off so I offset the ducker trigger a bit forward. I think Auxys ducker just triggers slightly behind beat/trigger normally)

Yes that should word

if you want to make a choppy sound, then the best way to replicate a ducker without a ducker is manipulating the volume. Kinda like Future Bass, where we use a lot of choppy synths using volume.
