This is a stacked list of goodies.
You know, I’m not sure I’m able to answer this question and be concise. It’s not so much a “who”, but a “what”. Music in general serves as an inspiration to create it for me. One of the beautiful things about music is that it basically serves as its own source of power and is an endless font of inspiration. I couldn’t begin to narrow down who/what inspires me, but I think it deserves mentioning that I am ALWAYS incredibly inspired by the Auxy community. I mean, just scrolling through this forum is like taking a trip through Talent City. And it’s not like these are people that society has decided are on a different, “celebrity” level and don’t interact. We have the amazing luck that we get to interact with incredible artists each and every day anytime we log onto the Disco or Discord.
I guess to try and make a long story short: I am inspired by all kinds of music, movies, feelings, people, etc. However, over the last few years, the Auxy community has been a gigantic source of inspiration, and without it, I can guarantee I wouldn’t have created even a fraction of the music I have at this point. This community pushes me to be a better musician as well as a better, more supportive fan.
My bed inspires me
legit 85% of my tracks are from random ideas I thought of in my bed lol
Yaaa boiii. Thanks dude.
Any tiny thing can inspire me out of no where. But if I had to find one it would be the gaming soundtrack of Trials of Mana. I was a huge fan of the soundtrack and even to this date my music style is still revolving around that 90s dreamy gaming music.
Slushii. He inspires me in 2 ways: in music and in life. You see, like Slushii, I am on the autism spectrum (Slushii has Asperger’s Syndrome, which is a form of autism that creates geniuses with limited social skills, and I have Pervasive Developmental Disorder Not Otherwise Specified, which is about in the middle of the autism spectrum. I’m no genius, but I am on the higher functioning end), and I was bullied for it (in my sophomore year of high school, I had at least 3 erasers thrown at me per day, I was mocked, called a retard, accused of looking at porn when I was actually just producing music to be able to put up with this crap). Slushii was also bullied, likely for the same reason I was. While he started out producing future bass, and I started out producing noise music, we both have dabbled in producing different genres. Slushii also seems like a very humble, down to earth guy. That’s the guy I want to emulate. He’s very well rounded in personality and talent, whereas deadmau5 has a crazy amount of talent, but he’s kind of an a** sometimes. I kind of lost a little respect for him when he called Slushii’s music “AIDS f**ing music and autistic s**t ”. That is probably the most ignorant thing deadmau5 ever said, but in his defense, he isn’t always like this. But comparing Slushii’s music to his was kind of ridiculous on deadmau5’s part. You’re comparing music by a 23 year old bass music artist to music by a 40 year old progressive house artist. (Sorry that this turned into a rant.)
Who is dead mau5
Hey, I get what you mean with all of that, my little sister has autism and didn’t really go to school for years, but she’s smart, just can’t speak very clearly, but pushes though surprisingly well. so I hope you’re doing the same. Good luck mate.
BTW my inspirations are VR, Xtrullor, Knife Party, & Rynx for the most part.
@S.A.Official Thank you for the well wishes. Tell your little sister that I wish her the best.
@The_Osprey Joel Thomas Zimmerman, known professionally as Deadmau5, is a Canadian electronic music producer, DJ, and musician. Zimmerman mainly produces progressive house music, though he also produces and DJs other genres of electronic music, including techno under the alias Testpilot. (if that was a joke, this one was too.)
