What genre is my music please?

Helloo everyone. I’m having a little trouble on genre here… and since I’m somehow leaning towards building on this style/ musical direction in the future - which genre would you chose for those two songs? Merci big time.

wise wolf :wolf: https://soundcloud.com/moemx/wise-wolf

Sure, looking forward to what you’re coming up with: https://app.auxy.co/projects/RYBTVudQ4LsnmkRd5zJv_nA==

IMO, seems to be the genre of downtempo, sub-genre could be chill, slightly ambient.

@moemx
One way to check or change your genre of music is to look at the Beats Per Minute
(Note) Trap is not on here because the BPM of the trap genre can alter…alot lol

dub/reggae: 60-90 bpm
downtempo/chillout: 90-120 bpm
deep house: 120-125 bpm
house: 120-130 bpm
tech house: 120-130 bpm
electro house: 125-130 bpm
progressive house: 125-130 bpm
trance: 130-135 bpm
dubstep: 130-145 bpm
techno: 130-150 bpm
hard house: 145-150 bpm
jungle: 155-180 bpm
drum and bass: 165-185 bpm
hardcore/gabber: 160-200 bpm
Each genre doesn’t HAVE to stay within these guidelines_but this is a kinda general base model Lol.
Also, this website may help with the BPM and genres [It goes into more detail about BPM and tempo stuff ^^

Hope this helps a bit

Must say, I’ve always found the notion that genres have a ‘defined’, albeit not strict, bpm range to be laughable.
It’s circumstantially descriptive, at best. Not prescriptive.

So, I certainly would never recommend using bpm as a guide to defining or understanding what genre a track is.

By that thinking, all hard house is jungle, all trance is dubstep and dub/reggae is actually a sub-genre of downtempo/chill.
