I often use chromatic.
Because I’d like to use unique scales sometimes!

I used to use it for all my songs but honestly minor sounds better. I like writing happy tunes so I’d always use major but minor can cover all emotions as far as I’m concerned and major is more limiting.

I usually use chromatic, but my songs are mostly minor. Minor is number 1!!

I always use chromatic, and then tend to use dorian or minor, with the occasional mixolydian, lydian, major, or 12-tone serialism. I’ve been a mode geek ever since I read my way through a music dictionary as a kid – it’s a sickness.

Jealous all I can do is C maj, F maj, G maj, A major and their harmonic minors. And that’s all memorization from Auxy actually.
Where’s the chromatic/both option in the poll?
My favourite recent piece (AKA SND - Same As It Ever Was) moves between minor and major.
(It’s why I’m still keen to see some kind of app-level setting that allows me to default to Chromatic for all new projects.)
