How can you remix a song?

Ive been wondering how to remix a real song. Do you have any tips and tricks?

I know mine could be an easy way though I don’t highly recommend as much because of many restrictions.

Step 1: Choose a song
Step 2: Go to a piano tutorial on Youtube (and find the bpm of the song if necessary)
Step 3: Find an acapella of the song and convert it to any sound format (most preferably .mp3)
Step 4: (If you have) Go to Audacity and layer the instrumental with the acapella
Step 5: Finalize everything and be a happy person.
Step 6: Repeat

Can you use GarageBand instead of Audacity?

Well, if it’s for the instrumentals, then yea. Garageband personally feels better when you’re making a cover rather than making a remix since it only allows you to record your voice only and not extract a third party one from anywhere.
